Rob Zombie’s The Haunted World of El Superbeasto looks way more entertaining than both Halloween or Halloween 2, but then again, I’d say the same about rectal cancer.
Still, an “adult” (read: chock full of big titties and violence) animated feature film hasn’t been done well in a long time, and this has a ton of talent behind it. Seriously, the list is pretty impressive- it’s got voice acting by Tom Papa, Paul Giamatti, Brian Posehn, Danny Trejo, Rosario Dawson, Bill Moseley, Ken Foree, Sid Haig and Clint Howard. Expect to see a few familiar faces and names from Rob Zombie’s universe. Captain Spaulding, Dr. Satan, etc.
A new uncensored trailer just hit the net but there’s really not too much here to warrant a red band besides perhaps some blood and ass biting, as most of it is still strangely censored. Also that narrator’s a little out of place, right? Sounds like he should be talking about the latest Spongebob movie.
The Haunted World of El Superbeasto hits Pay Per View and VOD on September 7th, with dvd and blu-ray releases to follow on September 22nd.
