I visited the New Mexico set of Legion a long time ago. So long ago that when we interviewed Tyrese Gibson, Transformers 2 was just a rumor. Now the film is finally coming out and it has a red band trailer to give you an idea of what it’s all about.
What is it all about? I think it’s pretty much a Vertigo Comic come to life. Imagine Preacher meets Rio Bravo, maybe. Paul Bettany is the archangel Michael, defying God’s orders and coming to Earth to stop the Apocalypse. With heavy weaponry. This isn’t the sort of movie that asks how many angels could dance on the head of a pin, but rather how many angels could be splattered by a bazooka shell.
