One of the great surprises of this year’s Sundance Film Festival was Mystery Team, the debut film from sketch group Derrick Comedy. The movie is finally seeing a release this fall, and just to make it special Derrick Comedy is going to be doing a live event in Austin at the legendary Drafthouse before the film’s premiere. The group has also put their latest Mystery Team short, The Case of the Haunted Hotel, online for your viewing pleasure. This was shot just for Comic Con this year and it fucking tore down Ballroom 20. There are a couple of gags in this short that I think are flat out classics – try and guess which jokes best reflect my inner sickness.
