-LY LOOKING A PAYCHECK, that is.

In my attic sits something approaching 400 nearly perfect-condition
Avon bottles my grandfather collected over many years, and left to me
when he passed*. Also, three years ago, my father was laid off from the
automotive industry.

…apparently I should have written a fucking script.

Kevin Bisch, the writer behind the monster-comedy Hitch**,
has successfully pitched a new comedy about a laid-off car salesman
turned successful Avon hawker. Hugh Jackman (whose taste has grown
increasingly questionable, as of late) will star.

Apparently the real fun will begin when the film “takes on a “Full Monty
vibe when the car salesman sets out to save his financially strapped
family and town by conscripting his buddies into the makeup business to
win a regional contest.”

Is there any chance -at all- of there not
being a scene of Jackman ending up in heavily feminine make-up? No. No,
there is no chance. Attractive Australian star will be endearing,
female (and select male) audiences shall coo.

Millions will be made.

The film is set up at 20th Century Of Course Fox.

** That is to say, a comedy that was a box-office monster. Not a monster-comedy like Monster’s Inc. or The Devil Wears Prada.
