There’s a plethora of on demand video out there these days. So much so that sometimes it can be hard to wade through it all and find something worth watching. Watch This Now is your guide to instant video on Netflix, Hulu and elsewhere, highlighting the very best stuff that you can watch right now.

I met director Phil Mucci at the NYC Horrorfest a couple of years ago after a screening of his film Far Out. A groovy 70s-styled short (mixed with plenty of blood and horror), it was a damn fun little flick. It also managed to nail the time period perfectly, but that shouldn’t have been any surprise to anyone who’s seen his previous film, The Listening Dead. A haunting and beautifully shot silent film, it shows how easily the man can ape many different styles. With the exception of some cool effects, it really looks like it could have been shot a century ago, and would make a great double feature with The Call of Cthulu.

Mucci’s 13 minute silent opus is embedded below via Atom Films. Enjoy!
