Last night the New York Asian Film Festival closed with Sion Sono’s Be Sure to Share. The jury has already determined their favorite films, though, and I was pleased to see a bunch of my favorites represented. Fish Story got a special award for “Best Pop Culture Rush”, Breathless won Best Debut Feature, and The Clone Returns Home (review soon!) got the award for Best Visual Achievement.
Course the real winners are the folks in NYC who got to see all these amazing films before anyone else. A winner is you!

And the 2009 Grand Jury Prize goes to Sion Sono’s LOVE EXPOSURE
