Today I signed my paperwork to make it completely official that I was employed at my new job. It was a gamble though. Literally. The company that I did my internship for has a clause that if I don’t become certified within one year, I have to pay them an extra $600 to keep on with them, and so they could vouch for me when applying at other jobs. This was a big gamble for me, as I had saved quite a bit from my previous job, and I had been able to live comfortably since my last job ended at the beginning of June. I had yet to spend such a large amount all at once.

The good thing was that the company has an installment plan, and I only had to pay them 3 installments of $200. I needed this JUST to apply for the job. It wasn’t a sure thing that I was going to get the job. My Mother referred to it as a gamble, and it was. I was going to go all in and bet it all. If I won, I’d win BIG, if I didn’t, I’d be $600 in the hole. Glad that the gamble paid off for me.

Today was my first day, and I can already tell that this new place is going to be good for me. If I could handle it at my last job, I can certainly handle it here. Especially since it’s MUCH closer to home.
