So inFamous‘ shine is slowly wearing off, and you’re nearing the end of Prototype‘s human slaughterhouse simulator. It’s time to return to Crackdown’s Pacific City.

Although it was fun to watch, the E3 trailer wasn’t too generous with information. This morning, Crackdown 2 developer Ruffian released a few more details about the game: it’s set in Pacific City’s distant future, and will, for all intents and purposes, feature an entirely new map. Ruffian also underlined their commitment to the first Crackdown: “close to half of [the] team worked on the original game, from every discipline who worked on it.”

Maybe I’m looking through a rose colored sniper scope, but the current crop of sandbox hero games only made me miss Pacific City even more.
