Stephen Chow’s Kung Fu Hustle is definitely not his strongest but it’s easily one of his most entertaining. With all the ridiculous characters and kung fu on display, it lends itself easily to a video game. At least you would think. But a side-scrolling MMO? Hmm.
Well it’s been in the works for a while now, and this new trailer reveals that the game definitely looks a bit… retro.
Keep in mind that this will be a free game, most likely browser-based, with of course items to buy for real cash in case anyone gets hooked on the game. The animation, special moves and bland look of the thing is a bit disheartening, however. Although you have to love that they’ve included a hopping Chinese vampire in the game.
