Folks in Austin are going to have a chance to see the amazing Night of the Creeps on the big screen when the Alamo Drafthouse hosts a screening with a reunion Q&A. They’re going to have director Fred Dekker along with stars Tom Atkins (!!!!), Jason Lively, Jill Whitlow and Steve Marshall. And the Q&A is going to be filmed for the upcoming Creeps DVD (and hopefully Blu-Ray), which means if you attend you’ll be part of cinema history.
This is going to be happening at the Alamo Downtown on June 13th at 10:10pm, and tickets are on sale right here. If you’re in Austin this might be the must-attend event of the season. Dekker’s a really interesting guy, and while you won’t get the weird reunion between him and Shane Black that we had at the New Beverly last year, I’m sure you’ll get a terrific bit of camaraderie between Dekker and Atkins. I briefly hung out with them at the afterparty for My Bloody Valentine 3D this year and it was a joy to behold.
For the rest of us the good news here is that Night of the Creeps will finally be hitting this fall.
