In what should be great news for fans of the Thief franchise, untested developer Eidos Montreal revealed a stark new logo for THI4F, the upcoming fourth entry in the series.
According to an interview with Eidos Montreal manager Stéphane D’Astous, the THI4F developer is in the midst of assembling a team of programmers, artists, and designers for the project in preparation for pre-production. The interview doesn’t reveal anything else about the game, other than that the team will comprise veterans of the Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, and Rainbow Six projects, and that they’re trying to stay as “close as possible to some of the original developers.”
In addition to THI4F, Eidos Montreal is also working on Deus Ex 3, which is slated for a 2010 release. Stay tuned for substantive details as we get them.
