I haven’t yet had the privilege of seeing Anthony DeBlasi’s adaptation of Clive Barker’s Dread, but everyone I know who’s seen it has raved about it.
The synopsis, for those who haven’t read the fine story from Barker’s second Books of the Blood– A philosophy student obsessed by his own nightmares conducts a series of experiments on people to observe their reactions to what they fear most, but soon discovers that these experiments will come back to haunt him.
A promo clip featuring a few interviews with people involved in the production and some footage from the film has just been found. And it looks good. The footage has been around for quite a while, it seems, but it was only recently that someone stumbled upon it on Youtube and emailed all the horror sites.
Let’s hope this isn’t as unfairly treated as Midnight Meat Train.
