You probably haven’t been paying attention, but Activision has been slowly releasing details of the Guitar Hero: Smash Hits setlist over the last few weeks, game by game. It was an obvious attempt to drum up interest in a game that’s merely a collection of songs we’ve all already paid for, and it worked I suppose, as a lot of people reported on it.

Now the final set list’s out, and surprise surprise, it’s actually fairly decent. Here’s the full list (of all master tracks), including which songs came from which previous game.

Not too shabby, although there’s a bit of filler, and some songs are already out and have been played to death on Rock Band.

Of course, everyone should be annoyed that this game even exists in the first place. Guitar Hero World Tour has DLC built in, and if they wanted to even attempt to seriously compete with the amazing job Rock Band‘s been doing they should have simply released it for that. They could have even released a few packs from each game and people would have been happier.

But no, it’s much easier to have us pay for a brand new 60 buck game, and pick up songs that we would have otherwise ignored. Don’t let us download it to the hard drive and save us the trouble of swapping out discs, either!
