The casting for Zack Snyder’s next film, Sucker Punch, remains a touch in flux. Many of the names that had been attached to the film previously – including Amanda Seyfried, Emma Stone and Evan Rachel Wood – have dropped out, and Snyder has quickly replaced them with other babes. When Seyfried dropped out Snyder snagged Emily Browning; now Stone and Wood* are being replaced by Jamie Chung and Jena Malone, respectively.

The rest of the cast includes Abbie Cornish (playing Malone’s older sister) and Vanessa Hudgens. Yes, the one from High School Musical whose bush you’ve seen on the internet.

Sucker Punch is set in a mental institution in the 1950s; Browning is a girl who is mistreated by staff and retreats into a fantasy world. In that world she discovers that there are five objects she needs to find so that she can violently (it’s a Zack Snyder film, what did you expect, peacefully? With much love and caring?) escape the institution.

Sucker Punch shoots this fall.

* What does Evan Rachel Wood have to do, anyway? I quit her Twitter, but mostly because it seemed like the highlight of her day was getting a UPS package. I don’t need to read the lives of celebrities who are more boring than my most boring friends.
