Day by day, by day…by day, you’ve probably been partaking in a ritual similar to myself. You get up, check the internet for news on the latest Anaconda–sorry, forgot we went plural a few films back– you get out of bed and check for the latest Anacondas news. Still coming up empty-handed? Nothing tides a snake junkie over like a 5-hour cinematic vacation immersed in the Anacondas trilogy. Of course, after the end credits roll, it’s back to reality and there still isn’t anything new on your beloved film.

Then, boom! Sony suddenly unleashes the Anacondas: Trail of Blood box art (courtesy of Shock Till You Drop) and that tells you everything you need to know about this blockbuster. In fact, for those of us who have always wondered what a young David Caruso would look like with a set of tits, you couldn’t ask for a better DVD cover.

My favorite aspect of the package is where it says “Deadlier than ever fear regenerates!” That’s two thoughts slammed together courtesy of one writer’s obvious excitement overload. They clearly were given an advanced screening and came out spouting complete nonsense because the film was so amazing. Whoever came up with that must be as excited as I am. And if you don’t know fear regenerates, just think about it. Snakes regenerate and snakes eat Jon Voight. It actually makes a lot of sense if you think about it long enough.

Anacondas: Trail of Blood will be released on June 2, 2009.
