The faces of the Wild Things from Spike Jonze’s adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are have been mostly hidden, or revealed only in bits and pieces. Now a marketing tie in – skateboards! – offer us the best look yet at what these creatures look like.
I guess if the faces had to be shown first anywhere, Jonze wouldn’t mind too much if it were on skateboards. The direct still makes skate videos, some of which are jaw droppingly amazing. If the only way you know Spike Jonze is from his movies and a couple of videos, you’re missing a whole body of work. Jonze doesn’t make features as often as I would like, but he’s not sitting around between movies – he’s out there working, perfecting his craft.
