Harmonix and EA announced today that their Rock Band franchise has surpassed ONE BILLION DOLLARS in retail sales in the last 15 months. This doesn’t even include the 40 million songs that have been sold as DLC! Holy crap.
Kudos to Harmonix for doing such an incredible job on making a game that never gets old, and never letting us down with their weekly updates. I still play it at least once a week, usually at the bar (Hell Gate Social) which never fails to draw a crowd. The release of Pearl Jam’s Ten this week and Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’ next week means that we’re all going to keep playing for a long, long time to come.
