Following in the footsteps of Black and White, Fable, Knights of the Old Republic, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Fallout 3, and everything BioWare or Lionshead Studios have ever done, Sucker Punch’s inFamous will incorporate a karma system.  Check out the demo:

inFamous is shaping up to be a very pretty experience, but will its karma system be as painfully binary as it looks? Is karma a fun way to customize user experience, or is it a cheap trick to squeeze out an extra playthrough? These karma systems usually get touted as powerful tools to alter game worlds, but they’re too often gussied-up decision trees.
