He looks nothing like me, but if someone had to play me in the story of my life — embellished with a lot more booze and weird sex and car crashes, just to make it palatable and slightly interesting — I’d be cool with Giovanni Ribisi getting the job. He’s an actor who commits and sweats for his work, and because of that he’s always entertaining.

Instead of playing me, Ribisi will play a fictionalized version of a another journo, in the film adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson’s novel The Rum Diary. That means he’ll likely be drunk for much of the movie, providing inspiration to us all in this troubled media climate.
