F.E.A.R. 2 has a new multiplayer map pack on the way!. You might have heard that it was supposed to be released this week thanks to a Major Nelson snafu, but no, you’ve got a few more weeks till it hits. It will definitely be worth the wait, though.

The free map pack takes things in quite a new direction from the ultra-serious game… and shrinks things down a bit. The “Toy Soldiers” pack will contain three maps where you play as miniaturized soldiers, fighting on a gigantic battlefield.

FullTilt: Battle inside a retro 1970’s era pinball machine, “Snake Fist” style! Flippers, targets, spinners and pop-bumpers provide cover for the fast paced action. Multi-level playfield and authentic sounds set the mood for destruction!

Cockroach: A blood drenched hospital room filled with heart pounding action. Climb up electrical cords, laboratory equipment and pill bottles in a tightly connected environment.

Recess: Wage mayhem from the top of a giant sandcastle to the cockpit of a toy bulldozer! Go commando and blend in with plastic army men!

All of this for free! Gotta love it when companies give fans great content like this. Keep an eye out in mid-April for the DLC on both Xbox 360 and PS3.
