I’m sure most of you will agree that any chance, any opportunity to spread a piece of Guginonews is always welcome, and more importantly, any chance to throw up a saucy Guginopic is welcome even more so.  I embrace Guginoness and if you don’t you should.

Anyway, Variety has announced that The Woman Who Had To Pretend To Love Pauly Shore has signed on to her next gig: Elektra Luxx.  Before you start worrying that she’s taking over from Mrs. Affleck (although seeing The Gugino in red leotard with lethal implements does get the mind going), this has nothing to do with Daredevil’s squeeze.  Rather, Elektra Luxx is the sequel to her Women In Trouble, which was written and directed by Sebastian Gutierrez (Rise), who is also returning.

Women in Trouble starred Emmanuelle Chriqui, Adrianne Palicki, Marley Shelton, Connie Britton, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Simon Baker and was a comedy that centered around the lives of 10 L.A. women over the span of one day.  Elektra Luxx picks up the story one month later.   Alicia Silverstone, Timothy Olyphant and Justin Kirk are also on board, with several from Trouble returning as well.  The Gugino will play the titular character, a porn star whose life gets thrown a curve ball when she finds she’s pregnant.  A third film in the series, Women in Ecstasy is also planned by Gutierrez, which is pretty ambitious considering the first film has yet to find a distributor.  All three films are / will be produced by Gutierrez’ Gato Negro Films.

Ms. Gugino has the double whammy of Race To Witch Mountain and The Watchmen upcoming.  No word if there is Guginonekkidness in any of the three Gutierrez films, but considering the role, GuginoWatch is hopeful.  More Guginonews as it breaks.
