Lionsgate has given BlackFilm six scenes from The Spirit, and while I want you to know they exist, there’s no way I’m going to watch them. For months I’ve already been looking at this movie with a jaundiced eye. Later this week I’ll see it in full, and until then I don’t want to risk…altering my expectations any more. It’s not fair to the film, even though it might be fair to me, since I suspect that going into The Spirit expecting garbage will be the best way to have a good time with the movie. (See? The approach is already far too pre-determined.)
But if you don’t know much about the film, and/or plan to see it regardless of what any of us think (which, obviously is the only mindset to have) then knock yourself out with this collection of a half-dozen clips.
