(Alright, five months.) Now with 100% fewer pushy security guards! The three-minute Watchmen clip we loved in Hall H during Comic Con ’08 is now available for your viewing pleasure via iTunes. I won’t go into much detail here — if for some reason you want the recap, just bounce back to our Comic Con coverage — but I’m really enjoying going through this footage once again. Because it isn’t cut as a trailer, there is much less of the speed ramping that has bugged so many people in other clips. This seems to be the best representation of the movie we’ve seen so far. And I love Moloch.
EDIT: Looking at the clip again compared against my notes, and also talking to a few people (like /Film’s David Chen) I’m not positive this is the exact same clip we saw at Comic Con. It is very close, but I don’t remember the shot of Dr. Manhattan and the rings, nor is it in my notes, while David says was a shot of Dr. Manhattan shown at Comic Con that isn’t here. (I actually remember the shot David mentions slightly differently, but what I recall and have notes on isn’t here, either.) Interesting. Emails are sent; I’ll update if verification comes in one way or the other.
