The sixth of the month was this weekend, which means there’s a new Watchmen journal online. This one has to do with the props of the movie, and it gives you a nice look at the level of historical detail that Zack Snyder and company have packed into the film.
It also gives you a look at Rorschach’s grappling gun. I had the opportunity to hold that in my hands while on the set of the film and that fucker has heft. When I was growing up I always sort of assumed that props were made of rubber and balsa wood (maybe because I grew up on bad movies), but in my experience a lot of prop items are heavy as hell.
