THE DARK KNIGHT

Batman is a hard character to nail down. So many creators, actors, directors, writers and other talent have tried to place their mark upon the icon. But, very few people will ever come close to touching the sheer greatness of Heath Ledger as The Joker. I have my problems with Nolan’s constant push to make everything uber-realistic and dark. But, one of the best moments of my film-going year was The Joker’s pencil trick.

LOST: THE COMPLETE FOURTH SEASON

The fourth season of Lost was a return to form. Sure, I loved the hell out of the third season’s finale. But, the excitement and tension returned with the flash-forwards and the debut of the Freighter. Plus, you had Jeff Fahey. Anything is cooler when The Lawnmower Man gets involved.



HORTON HEARS A WHO

Much has been made of the many forced adaptations of Dr. Seuss’ classic tales. Needless to say, this is yet another in a long line of shit cartoons designed to tell kids that being an individual supercedes all other responsibilities. Unfortunately, this film has managed to bring the otherwise talented Seth Rogen and Carol Burnett down to their level. If your kids can’t handle the complexity of The Lorax, then this DVD will be on their level.
