We’ve known for a little while that Simon Pegg and Nick Frost would be teaming up with director Greg (Superbad) Mottola for a buddy comedy called Paul. But that was all that we knew. Now the truth, as they say, is out there.
Paul follows two British nerds attending Comic Con who road trip to Area 51, where they meet a ‘small’ alien named Paul. This idea apparently hatched out of a real road trip that Pegg and Frost took a couple of years ago in this great nation of ours, and I’m excited to see what kind of weirdness they have come up with.
The film starts shooting in March in New Mexico; while Edgar Wright won’t be directing, he’s the executive producer.
