So in my last blog, I talked about my massive collection, particularly my dvds. I find myself not really watching cable as much as I once did. In fact, the reason I watch tv is to see Lost. I mostly stick with watching the dvds that I own.
Some time back, my girlfriend came over and saw me re-watching a movie that I had previously seen. She asked me why I was watching it again, and I said because I liked it. This is a foreign concept to her, because for the most part, unless it’s a movie that she really digs (like Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist) she’ll only watch it once. Unless I ask her to see it with me again, like when we say Rambo twice in the theater.
I have WAY too many movies that I like to watch more than once, and I like that, because as I’ve said to her, and said to others, if I buy something, I know that I’m going to watch it now for sure, but I may want to watch it again a month from now or even a year or 2 down the road. I’ll just get the inkling to watch it, and I’ll be able to, because I own it.
