Tomorrow is Halloween and I can’t think of a better way to get in the holiday spirit than to unveil a terrifying and violent scene from a highly anticipated horror film.

That’s why I’m so bummed out that all we have is this clip from The Uninvited, a remake of a South Korean film that stars Elizabeth Banks as a personal nurse who ends up marrying the widow of her late patient. When Anna (Emily Browning), the daughter of said widow (David Strathairn), returns home after a stint in the hospital, she is visited by the ghost of her dead mother who warns her that Elizabeth Banks intends to use the good china for informal gatherings.

It certainly sounds like fans of The Grudge, The Return, The Messengers, and The Ring can’t lose. I’d settle for Park Lewis Can’t Lose. Part Doogie, part Zack Morris– Parker Lewis made sure that the viewer always won. As long as he could stay clear from ol’ Kubiak, that is.

Where were we? Oh yes, The Uninvited. Well, nothing says Halloween like PG-13 Asain horror remakes. The Uninvited opens in the U.S. on January 30, 2009.
