Sometimes good scripts get made. I haven’t read DB Weiss’ Kashmir, but it’s been getting talked up for years now (read Latino Review’s glowing review here), and now it’s moving towards production. Relativity Media bought the script, which should begin filming in the spring under the aegis of Jean-Jacques Annaud, director of Seven Years in Tibet and the movie about the origins of missionary position, Quest for Fire.

Kashmir is about three ex-mercs who discover where a high profile terrorist is hiding out* and they plunge into the Led Zeppeliny contested region between India and Pakistan to get the 30 million dollar bounty on the scumbag’s head.

* None of the official synopses mention the guy’s name, which I’ve known for a while. Is it a spoiler? If so, spoiler: it’s Osama bin Laden.
