I never had a cellphone until I was 18 in December 2002.
I only got it because my parents wanted me to have it since I was going to begin driving a 40 mile distance to college. 80 round trip. I didn’t really get into the texting game until around 2006, and it wasn’t until 2007 that I REALLY got into the texting game. Now I find myself addicted to it. I use it so often now that I had to get the unlimited texting plan in order to stave off another “incident” like I had when I racked up a big dollar amount just in texting. It’s such a convenient little invention, that I can’t believe I went for so long without using it.
