No, it’s not a remake of the Bela Lugosi classic, thankfully. Not yet, anyway. No, Rob Zombie gave the shout out today regarding the long-gestating re-mastering of all that inhabits the White Zombie library. Rob mentioned a while back a deluxe, remastered set of CDs and DVDs for all that is White Zombie would be heading our way one day, but with his redux of Halloween last year, Werewolf Women of the S.S., and the impending Tyrannosaurus Rex, I’d all but forgotten about it until now.

Earlier today Zombie had the following to offer in his MySpace blog regarding the soon-to-be-released pack:

“Well, I am now holding the finished newly-mastered WZ box set in my hands. Yes, it is done! A long time coming but it is here. I’m not sure what the release day is yet, but it shouldn’t be much longer. I’m pretty sure you’ll be getting this under your Christmas tree.

“All I can say is boy the early shit is whacked. I haven’t heard some of these songs in over twenty years. I don’t know what the hell we were thinking.

“Everything is included on this set. Over 4 and 1/2 hours of music plus tons of never before seen videos. 5 discs in all.”

So if you’re looking to fill out some remainders in your White Zombie library this would be the pack to pick up, as it will contain everything White Zombie ever created.  Just check out the track listing below:

In other related Zombie news regarding projects taking forever and ever to reach completion, Zombie posted the following on his blog for another long-in-development project, Zombie’s animated flick The Haunted World of El Superbeasto:

“Well, it’s been awhile since I’ve given any info on Beasto. I know this movie now seems about as likely to be seen as a Yeti dancing around your Christmas tree, but it’s true the movie does actually exist.

“It’s been a long, long journey to get this done. Having recently added almost 2,000 new shots didn’t help speed up the process. All but 171 shot are now in the film and we will soon begin final sound mixing in October.

“It’s a fucking crazy fucking movie and that’s part of the reason it took so long. It’s much easier to make normal shit, but getting folks behind crazy shit is a nightmare. They all love it once it makes them money, but before that forget it. It’s the ugly child no one loves.

“Anyway, it’s coming soon and I know you are gonna fucking dig it! It’s dirty, nasty, sexy and fucking funny as shit! What more could you want from a half-assed wrestler/superhero?”

In the meantime, let’s take a look back at what was probably our first look at El Superbeasto, Thunder Kiss ’65 a la White Zombie.
