The lucky boys and girls over at Collider got an exclusive interview and photo from Josh Trank’s tightly concealed Fantastic Four, and have provided the web with a first look at the costume for Michael B. Jordan’s Human Torch. Click it for the full size version, which is much bigger.

I’m sure most of you are recoiling at this costume design, but the nerd community did the same thing when Bryan Singer’s X-Men put its heroes in black leather. Nobody really cares about the black leather now, but flamboyantly costumed superheroes are very much in vogue at the moment. Maybe this is the “prototype” torch suit. Whatever. I don’t hate it, but then again, I don’t really have any love for the Fantastic Four, anyway.

Collider’s interview is pretty interesting stuff, revealing that Philip Glass and Marco Beltrami are scoring the picture, and that the film will show some Cronenberg influences. You can read it here.
