The Wrestler, Darren Aronofsky’s new film starring Mickey Rourke, Evan Rachel Wood and Marisa Tomei, debuts next month at the Toronto Film Festival. Rourke is the fading former pro ekeing out a living on the indie circuit; Wood is his estranged daughter and Tomei, you might recall, is the stripper with a heart of gold.
To my great sadness, I won’t be at the festival for the premiere (or for anything else) so I’m making little flip books with these new production stills while listening to audiobooks of the Wayne Gretzky and Farley Mowat biographies to emulate the experience.
