I don’t know much about Return to Sleepaway Camp other than what I reported a couple weeks ago. I couldn’t tell you what character Vincent Pastore, known to most as Big Pussy on The Sopranos, plays in the film. Then again, it seems like every time I see an actor from The Sopranos in a film, it’s always in one of those mob comedies where they’re chasing somebody, like Billy Crystal or Chandler from Friends, with some upbeat saxophone music playing in the background.
With that being said, this Return to Sleepaway Camp trailer would probably be better if it had been scored by the guy who did the music for Analyze This!
Now that Amazon has the DVD cover up, it is starting to sink in that this movie is really coming out after sitting on the shelf for nearly half of a decade.
Even though it has been stressed that original Sleepaway Camp director Robert Hiltzick has returned to, I guess, take the series back to its roots, the trailer evokes some of the teenage shenanigans that I enjoyed in the second and third films. I just wish ol’ T.C. was still around for this one.
Return to Sleepaway Camp will be released on October 14, 2008.
