The development of comic books in Tinseltown, more importantly horror comic books, don’t seem to be showing any sign of slowing down as far as deals go; this time around Benderspink management/production has sunk their teeth into ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction.

Underworld scribe and actor Kevin Grevioux penned this comic, with art by Geraldo Borges and covers by Paul Ballard.

The official synopsis:

“ZMD is the story of a new government weapons program that drops zombies, designed to be photosensitive and dissolve by a set time, into war zones at night to destroy the enemy population. But after one fails to self-destruct in the Middle East, a team of elite soldiers must enter hostile territory to stop a growing zombie army.”

Cool idea, but it’s gonna be a damned expensive one, too, if the filmmakers actually intend to be faithful to the source material on this one.

Moreover, this continues a bit of a hot streak for Grevioux, as he just wrapped on Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans in addition to his writing gig on Marvel’s New Warriors.
