This is a long-in-the-works documentary that I’ve been dying to see for a while now. Director Mark Hartley previously directed the excellent, Ozploitation doc, Not Quite Hollywood and the shockingly good remake of Patrick (seriously, it’s a lot of fun). This looks like another winner. The behind-the-scenes footage of Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus screaming at investors is must-see material, but the greatest-hits of Canon Films is going to make for a great party movie too. And they got Dudikoff! And Lundgren! And Sam Firstenberg! This is a dream!

The film STILL doesn’t have a release date, but the trailer gives me hope that there’s at least an assembly cut  floating around out there. I’ll feel better when it plays a festival. This one has been teasing me for too long to get my hopes up.
