Earlier today on The Wrap, an exclusive story broke that Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett (directors of You’re Next and The Guest) are in the early stages of remaking Korean revenge flick I Saw The Devil. If you haven’t seen it, you should remedy that, take a shower (you’ll feel like it), then come back. If you have seen it, then you’ll know that it’s one of the best Korean thrillers of the past decade.

Production company Snoot Entertainment (who handled Wingard and Barrett’s last two features) will also be working on the remake. The project is in its infancy, and The Wrap says writing and preliminary casting are underway (this is unconfirmed).

Even though I greatly┬ádisliked You’re Next (I’m outnumbered, I know), the buzz for The Guest has me excited. What do you guys/gals think of this announcement? Do we have any hope of seeing a worthy remake of a film as excellent as I Saw The Devil?
