The Lego series has been doing pretty fantastic jobs of translating some of the biggest movie franchises into videogame form, and the more we see of the third
installment, the better it looks. Traveller’s Tales’ latest, Lego Batman, hasn’t
changed much from the last few games from the look of things, and why should it? They’re going
to milk this series dry.

As with the last few Lego titles, it’s designed for two player co-op play, and will be appropriately kid-friendly.
It’ll feature Lego versions of Batman’s wonderful toys, like the
Batmobile and Batwing, and most of your favorite heroes and villains. They’ll all have different weapons and abilities, and there’s even going to be different outfits for Batman and Robin (and Nightwing), such as Sonic Suits that break glass and Glide Suits to soar through the air.

A lot of classic characters have already been revealed (such as the above two, as well as Joker, Penguin, Clayface, and Harley Quinn), and a new trailer that just appeared (from Gamers Hell) shows off two more characters- Poison Ivy and Bruce Wayne.

Poison Ivy is able to manipulate plants and use her pheromones and womanly attributes to charm her enemies. Wayne will be a playable character in a bonus level set in Wayne Manor, even though in the video it looks like he’s smacking around fools (with a deadly briefcase!) on the streets.

Lego Indiana Jones
is a ton of fun, and this one looks to be no different. I’m just wondering how many more of these we can play before we start to get tired of the same ol’, same ol’.

Lego Batman will be released for every platform under the sun in September.
