One of my biggest guilty pleasures of the last few years has got to be Scare Tactics, the candid camera show with a completely fucked up sense of humor. Instead of watching people do silly things their whole intention was to place them into horror and sci-fi movies, completely freaking out the targets and probably doing some long-term damage to their minds.
It ran for two seasons, with both the vapid Shannon Doherty and Stephen Baldwin hosting. It hasn’t run since 2006, but it turns out a new season is about to hit the Sci-Fi channel in a couple of weeks. Next in line as host will be Tracy Morgan, who’ll at least inject some liveliness and humor to the proceedings. I guess they really liked his work in Tin Man!
I’m still amazed that they’re going for this one again, as it’s only a matter of time before someone has a heart attack or gets seriously injured. Let’s just hope they get it on video.
