Yesterday we brought you the website for The Foot Fist Way, Danny McBride’s first starring role. But that isn’t all he’s doing this year. He’s virtually stealing Pineapple Express this summer, and in a couple of months he might also be committing Grand Theft Movie in Drillbit Taylor, a movie that sees Owen Wilson as a bum who gets hired as a bodyguard for kids getting picked on by a playground bully. Danny is Don, one of Drillbit’s homeless friends. In this YouTube clip he’s in character as Don, explaining why his sex appeal and fashion sense set him apart from the rest of the hobos.
Drillbit Taylor is a kid’s film – it’s based on an unused John Hughes story, repurposed by Seth Rogen and Kristofor Brown – but this clip shows that maybe there’s something here for us grownups as well.
