I love supercuts- I’ve always thought they’ve had an under-appreciated value as a device for entertaining, education and examination. SleepySkunk’s yearly trailer mash-ups are some of my favorites, as they serve to remind us with what volume filmmakers are presenting us with gorgeous imagery and emotional stories, even when things seemed suffocated under the weight of sequels and franchise.

Pulling from the trailer of all major 2012 films, this year Skunk presents a three-act look at the year’s releases. I wouldn’t call it entirely “exhaustive” but it’s still very dense with great stuff spread across three sections that loosely cover drama then action then the big powerful images. The music choices aren’t exactly cutting-edge, but they work.

The full list of films us here, and I’ve embedded this editor’s previous two year-end supercuts below. They’re fun to look back on.

Enjoy!
