http://chud.com/nextraimages/brian dennehy.jpegRighteous Kill is a movie I might have gotten excited about if:

– Jon Avnet (Fried Green Tomatoes, Red Corner) wasn’t directing and
Jeremy hadn’t savaged the script in a recent Crop Report.

But both of these things occurred, so the reteaming of Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro fills me only with the standard dread that these two once-legendary actor’s choices all too often instill in me.

Now there are more actors attached to the film, and again, if it wasn’t for those two bullet points above, I’d be pretty excited. According to Variety, Brian Dennehy, John Leguizamo, Dan Futterman and some pro-skateboarder (look out, Jason Lee!) are joining the film. Leguizamo plays an NYPD cop who ‘butts heads’ with DeNiro and Pacino as they hunt down a vigilante serial killer; Dennehy is their captain and Futterman is an attorney. The skate kid plays a delinquent or some shit.

Righteous Kill starts filming today; it’ll be in theaters sometime next year.
