If you’ve ever wanted a chance to get near Edgar Wright and you’re anywhere near the Los Angeles area, this is the week for you. Tonight Edgar will be doing a Hot Fuzz DVD signing at the Virgin Megastore at Hollywood and Highland, and then Sunday he’ll be presenting a Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz double feature at the New Beverly Theater.
And while you’re out meeting the famous director, be sure to put plenty of pressure on him to write a CHUD Guilty Pleasure (click here to read my interview with him where he discusses the possibility of writing about Death Wish 3 and The Black Hole). Also, ask him about a Spaced Region 1 DVD release. He probably never gets sick of that one.
As an added bonus, you’ll see me and Jeremy at Virgin tonight if you arrive early (we’re off to see The Kingdom and are pretty fucking psyched – hopefully Universal will let us blab about it ASAP), and I know I’ll be at the New Beverly on Sunday to watch the double feature. I haven’t seen Shaun in months; I’m due a new viewing.
So here is the basic info:

Edgar will be introducing BOTH afternoon and evening screenings and may be raffling off some merch as well. Come out not just to see Edgar and two great films, but also to support the New Beverly, which recently tragically lost its founder, Sherman Torgan. This theater is a treasure, and your support will keep it going. 7165 West Beverly Blvd.
