Had some asshole not shot up a theatre and ruined a lot of lives in the process, we’d all have seen Ruben Fleisher’s Gangster Squad two weeks ago as it was originally slated for a 9/7 release. Alas, real life intervened and now has the film back on track (and rumored to be in reshoots) for a January 11, 2013.
The trailer received universal praise from us here at CHUD, so it’s a shame things have played out the way they have. Now W is running this production still piece that whets our appetite even further and gives a neat glimpse into the immense amount of attention delivered to the costume and set designs in the film. I’ve heard some not-so-nice things about the film from a few trusted outlets, but I can’t shake the notion that everything I’ve seen from this film has me hopeful it delivers:
