When I covered the release of that new Texas Chainsaw 3D poster I surmised that, even if the film sucks, we at least got a cool one-sheet out of it. Upon viewing this trailer I’m not exactly dissuaded from those initial suspicions. A direct sequel to the ’74 original (and disregarding everything afterward) I can’t help but notice how much this still looks like the Platinum Dunes retreads – and a cheaper one at that.
Still, I have to cop to being a fan of the sequence at the end here. And it’s damn good to hear the hum of Leatherface’s saw once again. That’s reason enough to be optimistic for now:
