csaHollywood, fully embracing its creative bankruptcy, has yet again turned to an epic poem to be the inspiration for a movie.

The poem is Paradise Lost, which is one of those literary works that everyone knows enough to pretentiously reference but hasn’t actually read. It’s the story of Lucifer’s fall from heaven and his subsequent moping about ("It’s better to reign in hell than serve in heaven!" I am, of course, paraphrasing. I am one of those pretentious people who haven’t read the thing who I mentioned above) and then turning to tempting people with fruit. It was a long time ago, and they didn’t have DVDA porn yet, you see.

Hyde Park Entertainment is producing the movie, which I can’t imagine being anything less than wanky (but you bet I’ll see it), and Fox will have first look rights at it.
