How I wish I was going to the Toronto Film Festival. It’s one of the most important festivals in the world, and many of the year’s Oscar contenders debut there. But beyond that, many strange, fascinating and small films have their premieres.
One such film appears to be Defendor, a superhero comedy starring Woody Harrelson as a deluded guy who dressed up as a crimefighter. The lovely Kat Dennings co-stars, along with Sandra Oh and Elias Koteas. To be honest this trailer reminds me a bit of Special, the movie where Michael Rappaport thinks he has super powers; hopefully Defendor is better than that disappointing film.
