Howdy folks! Welcome to this week’s edition of The Trailer Round Up! We got some cool new stuff this week, so let’s begin!
MR. BEAN’S HOLIDAY

Summary: Bean packs up his suitcase and camcorder to head to Cannes for some sun on the beach. But his trip doesn’t go as smoothly as he had hoped when the bumbling Bean falls face first into a series of mishaps and fortunate coincidences.
Prognosis: I will admit, as terrible as it was, the original Bean was a guilty pleasure for me. Sure, it was silly and stupid. Sure, the original BBC shows were way funnier. But I still loved it. The trailer of this film did make me laugh out loud a couple of times. It’ll probably be just as stupid as the first one, but I’m still going to go see it. 
THE ARCHITECT
Starring: Anthony LaPaglia, Isabella Rossellini, Viola Davis

Summary: Leo Waters (LaPaglia) is an idealistic architect and patriarch of an upper middle class suburban Chicago family. Tonya Neeley (Davis) is a pragmatic activist who is trying to keep her family together while living in one of the city’s most drug and crime-infested public housing projects. As part of her ongoing campaign to have the projects torn down and decent housing built in its place, Tonya decides that the one signature she needs on her petition is that of the projects’ original architect, Leo Waters.
Prognosis: The above summary is apparently the plot of the film. Unfortunately, I did not get that from watching the trailer. In fact, after watching the trailer, I had no fucking clue what the movie was about. Sure, it still seemed like an interesting drama, but what the hell was the plot? Anyway, as you can tell, the trailer is a bit of a mess. Apparently, this movie also came out December 1st, even though the trailer was released on the same day. Weird.
BLOOD & CHOCOLATE
Starring: Agnes Bruckner, Hugh Dancy

Summary: Based on Annette Curtis Klause’s novel, a teenage werewolf who has spent her life trying to hide the fact that she is part wolf. She must choose between her love for a human and her family after her relationship with a visiting American threatens to expose her secret.
Prognosis: No. Just no. Nothing here works. It makes it seem to be another boring “forbidden supernatural love” movie, and I’ve had about enough of those. It should come as no surprise that it’s from the producers of Underworld, because it’s pretty much the same film.
THE ASTRONAUT FARMER
Starring: Billy Bob Thornton, Virginia Madsen, Bruce Dern

Summary: Dismissed from NASA’s space program, former astronaut-in-training Charles Farmer (Billy Bob Thornton) pursues his lifelong dream by building his own rocket.
Prognosis: Very good, actually. When I first heard of this movie, I was sort of in the mindset of “It’s probably going to suck.” But after having seen the trailer, it does look very good. Sure, it’s a feel-good drama, with tons of mushy content I’m sure, but it does look fantastic.
HOT FUZZ

Summary: Police officer Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is London’s top cop. He’s so good, in fact, that he makes his colleagues look bad. Partnered with Danny Butterman (Nick Frost), an oafish but well-meaning young local cop, Angel struggles to adapt. But he just can’t…until a series of grisly "accidents" indicates that foul play is afoot. Suddenly, this seemingly idyllic town is a case that Angel has to crack – hard
Prognosis: Fucking awesome. This is one of the movies I am anticipating the most. I absolutely loved Shaun of the Dead. I think most of the episodes of Spaced are brilliant. It should come as no surprise that this movie is going to be as well. The trailer shows a lot of new clips from the film, each more hilarious as the last. And like Devin said earlier in the week, it shows an old woman getting super kicked in the face. What more could you want from a movie? This film is going to kick ass.
