The trailer for the new Francis Lawrence helmed Water for Elephants has hit the Apple website and promises plentiful amounts of Robert Pattinson looking at things wistfully. According to the website, the film tells the story of Jacob, a young veterinary student who runs off and joins the circus. While there, he falls in love with Marlena (Reese Witherspoon), the star performer of the show under the big top, but must deal with the wrath of her charismatic husband August (Christoph Waltz).
What the trailer doesn’t show is lead actor Pattinson trying to up his game here. I’m fairly sure Paul Schneider (Parks and Recreation) gets more dialogue in the trailer than the tween heartthrob, but more than likely there won’t be fan-girls screaming for Team Brendanowitz when the film hits April 15, 2011. Except for me, of course.
