With all the talk about Marvel superhero movies that has been happening lately – with more sure to come as Thor begins shooting and Captain America director Joe Johnston does press for The Wolfman in coming weeks – I thought it would be fun to revisit a time when Marvel was making movies the right way – for hundreds of thousands of dollars, and starring such acting powerhouses as Matt Salinger in the role of Captain America. And when they made the brave choice of having Turner & Hooch star Scott Paulin play the Red Skull. Yes, this, along with the Dolph Lundgren The Punisher, was truly the golden age of Marvel Movies in the 20th century.
So here, for all the youngsters who don’t know how it’s done right is the definitive Captain American movie. In its entirety!
